Outdoor Insights is a National mobile training provider with a range of programs to suit your budget and required outcomes. Since 1990, Outdoor Insights has specialised in designing and delivering customised and highly effective team building, team skills training and team leadership development programs.

Our network of staff includes consultants experienced in learning design and delivery, as well as a variety of development processes in large organisations, both public and private sector. We are accredited in key diagnostic and development instruments including the ‘Team Management Systems’, ‘Myers-Briggs Type Indicator’, DiSC’, SLII and other organisational effectiveness tools.

Learning & Development

Our Learning & Development programs produce results, which can be applied immediately to make a real difference, maximising a return on investment for your organisation. We use blended learning techniques that fully engage and motivate learners by combining theory, experiential activities and expert facilitation that relates learning back to the work environment.

Teambuilding Programs are designed for intact or new teams where there is a clear need for effective skills and greater understanding of people dynamics. The focus is on changing behaviours and improved team effectiveness.

Team Skills Programs are for staff that need to work effectively and concurrently in many teams and also for participants on Graduate Programs who require transferable skills to quickly fit into new teams.

Leadership Programs really focus on the participants’ understanding of team process and dynamics and how to influence and guide their team members. These programs combine theory with practical application.

Adventure & Wilderness

Outdoor Adventure creates very powerful "shared experiences" used where training outcomes include challenging people’s “comfort zones”, developing confidence, self-awareness and building trust.

Adventure Activities We can provide you with a range of engaging outdoor adventure activities suitable for your Team Event or to support customised Learning & Development programs. Some of the activities we offer include abseiling, mountain biking, canoeing, bushwalking, camping and high and low wires.

Wilderness Programs Our wilderness based leadership skills program has proven to be a rewarding, challenging and life changing for participants. These programs are multi-day trips involving camping and adventure activities. At the completion of the program the participants will walk away transformed with better leadership and team skills, renewed focus, self-confidence and commitment.

Team Events

Outdoor Insights Team Events are designed to create team experiences that will bring your team together, stimulating team identity, spirit and belonging. The events are designed to be fun and adventurous so they are long remembered. Team Events run from as little as two hours and can be designed for up to 200 participants. There is a focus on team bonding, usually without any theoretical content or in-depth debriefing.

Keynote Presentations

Our OH&S Presentation uses a case study of climbing Mt Everest to outline risk minimisation methodology and safety practices, which can be applied in the workplace. Inspiring and informative, this presentation focuses on safety systems, safety culture, teamwork, communication and leadership.
